Indeed, this plight of Nigerians is calling the world attention. No platforms to put their talents and ideas to good use. The education system turns out graduates, makes them undergo a compulsory one year NYSC program and forgets about them afterwards. First Class graduates are not guaranteed of getting a job after school anymore. In the academic clime, students’ final year projects, which are filled with growth ideas for different sectors of the economy, die off on office shelves. There are few platforms for the appreciation of intellects and utilization of talents. In the country, all works of life are in the same boat: no single sector is left out without its own pinch of problem. I was lost in confusion with dumbfounding cogitation, wanting to establish why the situation is what it is like in the nation and later realized that it is as a result of leadership failure: real leadership still wanders like smoke in search of committed hosts in Nigeria. Despite this being truismatic, the nation, however, has malnutrition, poor health prospects, unemployment and underemployment, abject poverty, growing insecurity, and political instability as her hallmark. Nigeria is colossally rich in natural and human resources in comparison to other country. ![]()
